Proposal

My communication objective is to gather enough information, from fellow fisherman, and build a portfolio that shows the Department of Wildlife Services a good enough reason to enhance the stability of our reservoirs. Enhancing by adding structure and giving fish better places to spawn and repopulate effectively.


I have done a lot of research so far and have gathered a petition from local fisherman expressing the same concerns I am having. Utah does not have a bass hatchery and if people keep catching fish and not releasing them there is a great opportunity to never have the ability to fish our lakes again. Not only do fisherman increase that statistic, but also the lack of structure and protection for the new spawn fish from being eaten from the bigger fish.


This is where I come in, and from my studies from other lakes and reservoirs that have structure and the longevity of there fishing, I'll show that it absolutely needs to be done in our Utah lakes. I will be taking videos, gathering statistics, linking videos, and building my case for presentation in future months. I will also attend any local meetings with the DNR or Department of Wildlife Services to simply see how things are ran.


In order for my case to have efficacy I am willing to put in the time and effort needed for the future of this great sport.(pastime)
